U.S. Embassy appointment
NZPA staff correspondent • . ' Washington The United States Secretary of Agriculture, Mr John Block, has named Mr Ben Thompson as agricultural attache on the staff of the American Embassy in Wellington. He succeeds Mr James Benson, who has been assigned to the Ivory Coast. Mr Thompson has worked in the dairy, livestock, and poultry division of the Agriculture Department s foreign agricultural service for the last five years, and worked before that in Mexico.
