Graham Brazier found guilty

PA Auckland A District Court ’ jury at Auckland has found the rock musician, Graham Phillip Brazier, guilty of attempting to burgle a Mount - Roskill pharmacy on January 19. Brazier, aged 30, of Ponsonby, who was the lead singer in Hello Sailor, and who is now leading his own band,, had pleaded not guilty. Mr John Beech, for Brazier, described the evidence in the case as thin. There had been a complete failure by the Crown to link Brazier with a van, the White Swan Pharmacy, tools.

and two other persons, apart from physical proximity, he said. Brazier was not carrying tools, and had told the police that he did not know the two persons. A policeman had said that Brazier had appeared to be under the influence of drugs. He had said that Brazier had glazed eyes, said Mr Beech. Brazier could have had a hangover or could have just got out of bed, he said. Judge Richardson remanded Brazier on bail to June 17, for a report and sentence.
