Basketball league match
The 3ZM Canterbury senior men’s basketball team is unchanged for its third Countrywide league match against IZM Hamilton at Cowles stadium tomorrow afternoon. Canterbury, unbeaten in its back-to-back matches against Drake Personnel Waitemata and 2ZM Centrals last week-end, has had a few troubles with minor injuries, but the coach. Mr Murray Mackay, said last evening that the team was now fully fit. "This is going to be one of the ‘tough’ ones,” said Mr Mackay. “You’ve got to re-
member that Hamilton has four New Zealand players, as well as two American imports. That alone means we are virtually playing a national side." he said. However, Mr Mackay is confident. He was pleased with last w’eek-end’s performances. particularly the “new look" provincial side. “I said it before and I repeat, Canterbury's strength will be as a team effort — every man sharing the workload," he said. “It worked for us last week-end; hopefully it will be successful again." Mr Mackay said.
