Parachutes
Sir,—Having been in the parachute section during the Second World War and packed thousands of parachutes and seen many lives saved by this life saving device I cannot comprehend how any One would tempt providence by using them for “sport”. Perhaps I have too much regard for the parachute, knowing, and being deeply involved with their original purpose. I feel sure no-one would contemplate tempting fate with a recompression chamber or resuscitator. Then why do it with a parachute?—Yours, etc.,.
