Spy force caught

NZPA Near Stanley A (band of special Argentine’ commandos, parachuted into the Falklands to spy on British forces' movements, have been rounded up near Teal lnlet. about 32km northwest of Stanley, writes Charles Laurence’the "Sunday Telegraph." The group of 20 Argentines were dropped into the Malo Hills by Hercules from the mainland on Saturday night (Sunday N.Z. time). They were- caught by commando brigade reconnaissance unit early on Monday. Four were killed and 12 captured, seven of them injured. Five of the prisoners were, being questioned at the staging post of the British forces advancing on Stanley. They were being kept in a shed, their arms spread against a wall, and taken outside to a tent for questioning by intelligence officers. The Argentine commandos were spotted on Sunday night (Monday N.Z. time) as they entered’ a deserted house called Top Malo House. They were well armed with FN special rifles with folding stocks, grenades, and ar-mour-piercing and tracer bullets. They were wellequipped with quilted foulweather suits and waterproofs. . They carried little food, however, and had killed and butchered two sheep when they were caught at the house. •'
