No mail delivery at week-end
No mail will be delivered by postmen on either Saturday, June 5, or Monday, June 7 because of Queen’s Birthday week-end. Rural deliveries normally made on Saturday will be made as usual on that day. • Most other Post Office services will be closed on Monday. Surface mail will close at 7 a.m. and airmail at 8 a.m. on Monday. Sorting to private boxes for the Postal Centre will close at 11 a.m. Mail will be cleared from posting boxes at 7 p.m. and from post offices at 7 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Inner-city street boxes will be cleared at 7 p.m. The public telex office will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The toll exchange will not be affected by the holiday and telegrams can be dodged by telephone.
