Tornado kills 12
At least 12 people were killed and more than 100 injured when tornadoes smashed through three southern Illinois counties at the week-end. A ' temporary morgue was set up at Marion junior high school and other victims were reported dead on arrival at Marion Memorial Hospital. A state senator, Gene Johns, who was working as a volunteer at the morgue, said simply “we expect more” when asked about other possible fatalities—Marion, Illinois.
