The Government of New Guinea The Department of Transport and Civil Aviation Applications are invited for the following vacancies in the Operations Branch of the division of Civil Aviation: Senior Examiner of Airmen LEVEL 20 Duties: Administer and direct the Section responsible for the supervisionof general aviation flying operations and safety standards within Papua New Guinea. Qualifications; Possession of a Senior Commercial Pilot Licenceorequivalent with a First Class I nstrument Rating and possession or previous possession of a Grade 1 Instructor Rating. Wide experience as a pilot and instructor on modern multiengined aircraft with an appropriate administrative background. Examiner of Airmen LEVEL 19 Duties: Supervise general aviation flying operations and safety standards: examine and flight test aircrew for licences and ratings; approve operations manuals and flying training organisations. Qualifications: Possession of at least a current Commercial Pilot Licence with a Grade 11nstructor Rating or equivalent. Wide experience as a pilot and instructor on modern multi-engined aircraft. Airworthiness Surveyor 4 POSITIONS LEVEL 17 Duties: Assess aircraft systems and components for reliability and condition, and approve engineering content of maintenance manuals and systems. OR Review maintenance arrangements of aircraft operators and quality control system of organisations approved to conduct aircraft maintenance. Assess applicants for examinations, licences and airworthiness authorisations. Qualifications: Above 4 positions - Possession or previous possession of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence with considerable experience as a licenced engineer.
