Rotorua's Chateau Caravel Hotel will be renamed the Sheraton Rotorua and be operated by the Sheraton Hotel Group from July, the general manager of the Development Finance Corporation (Mr John Hunn) announced. The DFC has undertaken a financial restructuring of the hotel, where extensions and improvements costing. more than $7 million are being completed, he said. The DFC has nearly $9O million committed to the development of tourist accommodation and key visitor facilities. “Tourism is now our second largest area of investment.” Mr Hunn said.
