League win to Canty B
Canterbury B won a tough physical rugby league match against Otago-Southland, 24-9. in a South Island second division match at Invercargill on Satur-
day. Canterbury’s talented backline gave it the advantage although the opposition defended stoutly. Canterbury led 13-4 at half-time.
The player of the match award was wdn by the Canterbury captain, Robin Alfield. Tries for Canterbury were scored by Richard Hampton 2. Russell Tuuta, Grant Stocker, Alfield and Alan Davies. Tuuta kicked two goals and Stocker one.
