Quiet week at Lyttelton
Shipping at Lyttelton over the next week looks likely to be fairly quiet. Only six ships are scheduled to arrive at port from now until next Saturday, making it one of the quieter weeks for some time. Among the more interesting vessels due at port are the Ragni Berg, carrying bananas from Ecuador, and the Star Castor, which will discharge bulk phosphate from Florida. Due to leave port this week are the Botany Trader, carrying bulk tallow for Japan, and the Wamemunde, which will ship wool and general cargo to Russia and Europe. The Yorktown, which is due to leave on Monday, will carry milk powder and general cargo to South America. The regular callers, the Coastal Trader and the Union Lyttelton, are also due at port during the week. ARRIVALS Union Wisdom (6 a.m.) 9967, Wellington (P. and 0.). Onehunga (6 a.m.) 2500.
