Suttle Knight improving
Special correspondent Woodville Suttle Knight has trained on well since his winning debut at the Woodville meeting, and is ready to shine again in the Services Handicap at Awapuni on Saturday. Fast work at Woodville took place on the middle of the course proper, which was firm. Suttle Knight and Dawn Nymph galloped 1000 m in Imin 5.85. the last 600 m in 38.55. A strong type, Suttle
Knight will again be ridden by Jim Walker. He is by Balkan Knight from the Le Filou mare. Suttle, which won the Hawke's Bay Cup and ran second in the’ Wellington Cup.
Janine and Villa Destre. candidates for the R.S.A. Handicap, went 1200 m in Imin 20.85. slowing a little over the last 600 m in 41.25. Race Rivals Paisano and Fred's Cutter took Imin 18.55, for their 1200 m, the final 600 m in 39.15. Both should go well on Saturday.
