Does Granity exist?
Sir, — I do believe that a town called Granity is located some 20 miles north of Westport, has a telephone exchange with over 200 subscribers — but yet it is not listed in the new telephone directory for the Christchurch district (page 43). Perhaps as the directory is printed in Wellington, the people have not heard of Granity. Yours, etc., K. A. T. BUCKLEY. April 27, 1982.
