More than 400 for run
It will be shouts of apple juice all round after the Fresh-Up 10km road running race tomorrow.
Not only will the more than 400 competitors receive free cans of Fresh-Up at the finish, but also the Apple and Pear Board has given 20 cartons of cans of juice to be offered as “spot prizes.” The chairman of the Canterbury Cross-Country
Committee, Dr Frank Nolan, said that the committee had decided to accept late entries without charging late entry fees.
The men’s field will comprise over 200, the women’s more than 50, and the veteran men’s about 100. Few entries had been received from boys and girls under 15 and veteran women, said Dr Nolan.
