Aircraft too close?
PA Auckland The Civil Aviation Division is inquiring into an incident involving an Air New Zealand Boeing 737 and a Royal New Zealand Air Force Andover near Auckland Airport on Monday. • The inquiry will centre on whether the aircraft passed each other closer than they should have. The aircraft should have been separated by at least 1000 ft but it is believed they were closer than that. However, it is believed that neither aircraft had to take evasive action. The 737 was flying to Tonga and Samoa at the time of the incident.
