NZPA staff correspondent Sydney ■ The New Zealand singersongwriter, Sharon O’Neill (pictured), has been voted the most popular female artist in Australia for 1981. She was rated the most popular by viewers of the Australian Broadcasting Commission’s national television music programme, “Countdown" on Sunday. Other female singers who aimed to win the titles were two Australian performers, Renee Geyer and Marcia Hines. Miss O’Neill’s manager, Grant Thomas, said yesterday, “Sharon is absolutely delighted.
