He told the Economic Society in Wellington that the number of migrants who
settled under- the policy last . year, mainly from Britain, Germany .and the Netherlands, was 30? ’The policy.allows people to settle in New Zealand who have particular entrepreneurial skills. The fields in which migrants have worked include horticulture, exporting, tourism, aluminium manufacture, jewellery, plastics, knitwear, and fish processing.
