Two riders suspended
PA Auckland Two jockeys, Ken Reggett andd Laurie Cavanagh, were suspended after the running ot the T.A.B. double at the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday. Reggett, the rider of Sterling Jay in the Oliver Nicholson Handicap, was found guilty of dangerous riding and suspended up to 'and including April 28. Stirling Jay was disqualified after causing interference to Lightning 150 m out. Cavanagh, who rode Kerryman in the Bledisloe Handicap, was charged with careless riding and suspended up to and including April 27. Kerryman won the event, but was relegated to fourth for causing interference to the runners-up, Brenlaine, and Anittac (fourth).
