Pedestrians injured
Two pedestrians were taken to Christchurch Hospital after they had been struck by a car on the Main South Road at Hornby about 7.50 p.m. yesterday. One of them was treated and discharged and the other was admitted, suffering from moderately serious leg injuries.
A woman was admitted to Christchurch Hospital with moderately serious head injuries after a wheel had fallen off the car in which she had been travelling on the southern expressway near Lunns Road, about 9 a.m.
