The commencing date for the new appointee will be negotiable but preferably should be taken up by October 29, 1982. It is the Board’s wish that the appointee have a surgical qualification as well as being the Medical Administrator with the Principal Nurse and Director of Administration. A clinical commitment would form a substantial part of the duties. Applicants must be either registered in New Zealand or hold qualifications entitling them to registration in New Zealand, and before commencing duties must have received New' Zealand registration and hold a current practising certificate. Applicants should also hold a higher qualification entitling them to specialist status in Surgery. Salary will be from - NZ $35,121 to $45,213 a year of the Specialists Automatic Salary Scale. An additional duties supplement up to a maximum of 10 per cent, of basic salary is also payable for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. A senior appointee could be entitled to a Higher Salary Grading of $48,288 or $51,028.
