Obituary Mr R.N. Cooper

Mr Ross Neil Cooper, who taught in several schools in Canterbury over the last 20 years, died suddenly in Christchurch on April 3. He was 39. ■ ■ Mr Cooper was educated at Christchurch Boys' High School and Christchurch Teachers' College. During his teaching career he taught at Avonhead, Rakaia. Hoon Hay, Linwood North, and St Martins. He was also in charge of the Eric Centre at Burnside. For five years Mr Cooper

was secretary of the Christchurch Primary Schools Sports Association and served for a term on the Linwood North School Committee. Outside school hours Mr Cooper had a special interest in horticulture, especially lilies and freesias. He was president of the New Zealand Lily Society. Mr Cooper was also on the committee of the Alpine Society. He is survived by his wife, and two sons.
