The Ugly Duckling results
We had a marvellous response to the Ugly Duckling colouring competition on this page recently. The competition was run to mark the 30th birthday of the Canterbury Children’s Theatre. The two women from the theatre who judged the entries had difficulty deciding on the winners from the excellent entries we received.
The winners are.—€ to 8 years: David Hames, 34 Marama Crescent, 1, Michael Chatterton, 701 Main South Road, 2, Gillian Fox, 44 Hawthorne Street, 3.
9 to 10 years: Glen Duffield; 10 School Road, Halswell, 1, Annabelle Smith, River Road, R.D. 2, Rakaia, 2, Lisa Robertson, 62 Balcairn Street, 3.
11 to 13 years: Richard Maddigan, 204 Knowles Street, 1, Katie Brown, 9 Puriri Street, 2, Anna Parfitt, “Kulnine,” R.D., Parnassus, 3.
All. the winners will receive a voucher for tickets to see the Hans Christian Andersen show at the James Hay Theatre from May 8 to 22. Three tickets are the prize for the first entry and two tickets to the second and third placegetters. The vouchers have been posted out to the winners and can be redeemed at the Town Hall booking office. All entries are displayed in the front office of the “Press" building in Cathedral Square.
