Reagan not favoured
Americans do not want President Ronald Reagan to seek a second term, according to the majority of those questioned for a "Time" magazine poll. Thirty-seven
per cent of those responding said they hoped Mr Reagan would run again, while 52 per cent said they hoped he would not. — New’ York. Cube contest
The first world championship contest for Rubik Cube experts will be held in Budapest, birthplace of the tantalising toy, on June 5. Nimblefingered. sharp-minded contestants able to twist and turn the multi-coloured cube into uniform patterns within 60 seconds are expected from some 30 countries. The winner will be the competitor with the best aggregate time for three rounds. — Budapest.
Colombian air crash
A commercial aircraft carrying 22 people has crashed in north-eastern Colombia killing all aboard. The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority identified the plane as a Vickers Viscount belonging to the domestic Aeropesca company. — Bogota.
