An international removal company often receives unusual requests for trans-ship-ment of goods*; and when it can rise to the task of moving a submarine from one country to another it certainly proves the company can use its resources. Scotpac P and 0 International Removals carried out the assignment and freighted the submarine from Montrose, Scotland, to Houston, Texas. The submarine bad been used to inspect oil pipelines and weighed about 35 tonne. The P and 0 shipping line owns both Scotpac and Pandair, an air freight service, so this enables access to sea and air freight services. A unique agreement has been signed between an international household removal firm and a domestic carrier. Scotpac P and 0 International Removals has signed a long-term agreement with the largest domestic household removing business in New Zealand, Kirby Carriers, Ltd. Both companies will still specialise in their individual
areas but will be able to call on the expertise as required. A major strength of the agreement is that both companies have substantial backing as Kirby’s is owned by Transport Nelson Holdings, Ltd, and Scotpac by the shipping firm P and 0.
