Woolston top in suburban competition
Woolston Working Men’s Club won the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association’s senior-A competition when it drew its match with Sumner on Saturday. Woolston W.M.C. continued its first innings and was eventuallydismissed for a total of 215. In reply, Sumner, aided by an aggressive 120 by Tony McKendry, reached 216 for eight.
