Preference given to those who have undertaken or who are interested in undertaking postbasic nursing education studies. At least two years experience as a midwife is essential. 2. CHARGE NURSE - RELIEVER Qualifications: RGON'Midwife or R.Cp.N.'Midwife. Required for reheving in all areas of Waikato Women's Hospital. 3. STAFF MIDWIFE ANTE NATAL CLINIC and OUTPATIENTS DEPARTMENT An experienced RGON 'Midwife or R.Cp.N. Midwife is required for this position. Preference will be given to the applicant who has interest in education for parenthood. 4. STAFF MIDWIVES - ALL AREAS An interest in helping to develop primary nursing is essential in ail areas, including ante natal and post natal wards, Delivery Suite, Newborn Unit. 5. STAFF NURSE - GYNAECOLOGY WARD Qualifications: RGON or R.Cp.N. Duties: Full time rostered duties in busy27bed ward. 6. STAFF NURSES - NEWBORN UNIT This specialised area of nursing requires RGONs with or without Midwifery registration. Experience in this field or in Intensive Care Nursing is an advantage but not essential. ENGINEER IN CHARGE - ROTORUA HOSPITALS Applicants-must have served a formal engineering apprenticeship and have had several years supervisory experience in engineering maintenance work, preferably in the hospital field. Experience in the .Operation and maintenance ori steam-raising plant would be of considerable advantage. Formal qualifications of N.Z.C.E. level are .essential, whilst eligibility towards registration as an R.E. A. would again be an added advantage. TOURIST AND PUBLICITY HEAD OFFICE TOURISM RESEARCH THE TOURIST AND PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT needs a Research Officer, to be based in its Tourism Planning and Development Division in Wellington. The position involves developing and carrying out. in consultation with the Department's Senior Research Officer, the Division's tourism research programme. The Research Section consists of 5 people, and the appointee will be deputy head of the ssection and responsible for management of the staff and assignment of research projects. Applicants should have a tertiary qualification, with a major in Economics. Business Administration. or something similar and also have studied statistical theory as it applies to the design and analysis of sample surveys and questionnaires. A minimum of 4 years work experience in applied research is essential and preference would be given to a candidate having worked in a consultancy position with a problem identification and solving role. The position requires continuing contact with the public and private sector of the tourist industry, and applicants should thus have good communications experience, together with experience of staff management.
