Healing eased 2c to 178 c when it was announced that a third party would make a take-over offer for Industrial Chemicals. Other issues to stand out included Arnold and Wright, New Zealand United Corporation, and Reid Farmers, all on 15c gains. Fletcher Challenge was steady at 220 c ahead of its result.
