Lifestyles festival ‘a success’

tural Showgrounds in Addington. The festival, which was organised by the University of Canterbury Students’ Association, was designed to promote many different approaches to alternative living for people in the city. Social and environmental
groups were among those who had stalls at the festival. Craft. t demonstrations were also given, with products available for sale to the public,, , There were demonstrations of, vegetarian cooking, martial arts, sky-diving, massage, music and dancing.
The organisers say they will not have a large profit after expenses are met, but they hope to have some money left towards the preparation of another festival next year. A festival organiser, Mr G. A. Harvey, said that the festival was a success.
