Clowns inquiry

Sir,—Mr Muldoon is emphatic that he will establish some form of outside board to

adjudicate when inquiries into broadcasting activities are held. For once, I agree with our beloved leader, oh the principle that "not only must justice be done, but it must be seen to be done.” It is obviously wrong for any body to sit in judgment on its own actions. I wonder if Mr Muldoon agrees with me? That statement must include a body known as the New Zealand Police. The Broadcasting Council upset Mr Muldoon only because he did not get his way. This farce, passed off as an inquiry into the clowns’ beating, has upset thousands of honest, law-abid-ing citizens who can perceive justice — and injustice. Yours, etc., —
