Wool prices still rising
A rise, of 5 per cent in strong Halfbred fleece wool prices at yesterday's Christchurch wool sale continued a strong upward movement in all wool prices during the last two months. The Wool Board was almost inactive at the sale yesterday, receiving less than 1 per cent of the offer-
ing, and its supplementary price assistance has also been substantially reduced since January. The Government supplement has also been reduced to 18.3 per cent from yesterday’s sale, compared with 25 per cent at the last Christchurch sale. ' Details, page 22
