Schools’ commandant

Lieutenant Colonel Graeme Talbot, of the Royal New Zealand Corps of Transport-, has been appointed commandant of the Army Schools at the Army Training Group, Waiouru. Colonel Talbot succeeds Colonel Brian Monks, who is now the officer commanding the Army Training Group. A graduate of the Royal Military College in Duntroon, Colonel Talbot's previous posting was as the New Zealand instructor at the Australian Army’s staff college at Queenscliffe, near Melbourne. He is also a graduate of Queenscliffe. Colonel Talbot was on active service in South Vietnam in 1968. He has held a variety of command, staff, and training appointments in the North Island.
