$40,000 for Easter Classic
The second running of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s 3ZB Easter Classic at Riccarton on Easter Monday, will be worth $40,000. This makes the event second oily to the New Zealand Cup in prize money, among South Island races. The only other race in the South Island which carries a $40,000 stake is the New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas. The inaugural running of the 3ZB Easter Classic last year was worth $30,009.
