House damaged in fire

day watched “hot spots” near the Waimairi golf course, where there were several fires last week. One Engine was assigned to stay near the golf course throughout the night. Other calls included 10 grass and scrub fires, one rubbish fire, seven false alarms,- and five property fires. Three engines attended a fire in the roof of a house in Templar Stret, Richmond. Firemen were on the scene for about an hour from 7.15 p.m.
