Print prize to Auckland
A part-time printmaker from Auckland has won the Waimairi County Council National Print Award. Mr Denys Watkins, a parttime lecturer at the Elim School of Fine Arts in Auckland. won the $lOOO first prize from 39 printmakers.
The judge of the competition was Mrs Margaret Taylor. a visiting curator at the Australian National Gallery, in Canberra. Forty of the best entry are now on show at the Gingko Gallery, in the Arts Centre.
