Body identified
PA Levin The body of a man washed up on Otaki Beach on Tuesday has been identified as a Marist Brother missing since Saturday. He was John Donald Terry, aged 43. A large search had been mounted for him when he failed to return from a picnic on. Saturday. The body was found washed up on the beach by a
local resident alongside the Otaki River mouth, close to where a pair of socks and sandals belonging to him were found by searchers on Sunday. Chief Inspector F. J. Anderson of the Levin police said that after a post mortem examination, the body would be taken back to Australia to relatives, who had been notified of its recovery.
