Mosaic made from plastic blocks
A display of mosaics featuring three large murals made of plastic building blocks is examined by one of the modellers, Mark Stewart, at the Merivale Mail last evening. The display has been arranged by P.D.L. Holdings, Ltd, of Christchurch, before it is exhibited at the International Toy Fair, in Sydney, next month.
The largest mural, showing an Air New Zealand 747 in flight, measures about four metres by two metres. The second mural shows the Sydney Opera House with the Harbour Bridge in the background, and the third mural depicts a typical scene from a cricket test between New Zealand and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
