Public Notices Public Notices NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD ALTERATIONS TO ELECTRICITY CHARGES -PURSUANT TO REGULATION 23 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1976, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby gives public notice of its intention to alter its charges for supplying electricity. As meters are read progressively over a period of two months or three months, after the Ist April, 1982, and up to the 30th of June. 1982, electricity will be charged proportionately at the -old and new rates, depending on the date of the meter reading. (New accounts, special readings, and other accounts which are normally read at the end of each quarter will be subject to the new tariff as from the Ist of April, 1982). The new electricity charges as from the Ist April 1982 will be as follows: ELECTRICITY TARIFFS DOMESTIC: (a) Supply charge of $3.50 per month for each separate supply. (b) Rate: All units at 6.32 cents per unit. WATER HEATING: All units at 4.08 cents per unit. CONTROLLED STORAGE SPACE HEATING: ■ All units at 4.08 cents per unit. TWO-RATE HEATING: (a) DOMESTIC. Rate: 4.08 cents per unit from 9.00 p.m.-7.00 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Outside these two times the supply is automatically transferred to the 6.32 cents per unit rate. (b) COMMERCIAL: Rate: 4.08 cents per unit from 9 p.m.-7 p.m. and from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Outside these two times the supply is automatically transferred to the 9.82 cents per unit rate. COMMERCIAL: (a) Supply charge of $3.50 per month for each separate supply. (b) Rate: First 400 units per month at 17.80 cents per unit. Balance of units per. month at 9.82 cents per unit. NIGHT RATIO RATES - for bakers and other approved consumers. Ratio 2:1 night/ day consumption. Night rate units 4.08 cents. Day rate units 15.17 cents. UNCONTROLLED HEATING: All units at 8.42 cents per unit. HALLS. CHURCHES, SCHOOLS AND SPORTING BODIES: (a) Supply charge of $3.50 per month for each separate supply. (b) Rate: All units at 6.32 cents per unit. FARM POWER: (a) Supply charge of $3.50 per month for each separate supply. (b) Rate: First 200 units per month at 17.80 cents per unit. Balance of units per month at 8.51 cents per unit. IRRIGATION RATE: (a) Supply charge of $3.50 per month for each separate supply. (b) Rate: First 200 units per month at 17.80 cents per unit. Balance of units per month at 5.15 cents per unit. UNDER-VERANDAH LIGHTING: $35.00 per annum per fitting. INDUSTRIAL POWER: Minimum charge: $177.92 per quarter for each separate supply. Power rate: (a) $30.33 per KVA per quarter plus 3.69 cents per unit. (Installations with a demand in excess of 750 KVA will have the option of remaining on two-part tariff, or having all power at 6.72 cents per unit during the two quarters October/December and January/March.) (b)100 units per KVA per quarter at 21.09 cents per unit. Balance of units at 7.12 cents per unit. NOTE: All installations with a maximum demand exceeding 200 KVA and/or consumption of 35,000 units per quarter will be placed on rate (a). BUILDERS’ TEMPORARY SUPPLY: (a) For construction of single houses, small blocks of flats, or small commercial properties, a flat rate of $6.60 per month or part thereof. (b) The Board reserves the right to separately meter and charge supply to projects falling outside (a) - power so metered will be charged at the commercial rate. SPECIAL READINGS: Special reading of meter(s): Fee $3.50. PREPAYMENT METER RENTAL: $2.50 per month. DISCOUNT: All tariff charges are subject to an additional 10 per cent added as part of the basic rate. Such amount shall be deducted if the account is paid within sixteen days of rendering. ALL tariffs are subject to the Board’s conditions of supply, which are available on application to the Board.
