The successful applicant will be expected to teach welding skills, relevant trade theory and to contribute to the overall work of the department. Therefore a wide trade experience with a sound knowledge of both the theory and practical requirements of modern welding techniques is required. Although teacher training is provided, applicants should have an outgoing personality and sincere interest in teaching. The appointment is to be made at the tutor grade 1 level with a commencing salary, determined by qualifications and experience. in the range 514.267 to $19,962 (plus expected 9.2 per cent increase).
