ZERLRNII DAIRY BQRRD COMPUTER CENTRE VZDBCC SENIOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFF The New Zealand Dairy Board's Computer Centre, which provides a Computing service to the New Zealand Dairy Industry, is currently embarking on major developments which will take it to a pre-eminent position in the New Zealand Computer scene over the next two years. • An existing IBM 4341 has just been upgraded to an BMb 'Group ll’, which is supporting existing VM/CMS and DOS/VSE systems. • A second BMb 4341 'Group ll' which will run MVS, will be installed in May 1982 for new project development. • Development is under way on an SNA Network using Datapoint Mini's to provide an RJE and interactive service to Dairy Industry organisations throughout New Zealand. First implementations are planned for the 2nd quarter of 1982. • A major MIS development is scheduled to start Programming, using TOTAL 8 DBMS (under MVS), by the 2nd quarter of 1982. • A data model is currently under development, utilising advanced Data Analysis Techniques, for a second and equally significant Information System. To provide the required, high level of Technical Support for these developments, we are looking for experienced System Programmers with a proven 'track record' in some or all of the following areas: — • MVS and JES2 Sipo Development and Installation • TSO - CICS - SNA - VM • IBM Assembler • Performance Monitoring and Reporting Experience of MVS, SNA, VM is of particular interest.
