PA Auckland Olga Alty and Nita Rennison (Buckfands Beach), who have never played together before. yesterday won through to "the semi-finals of the women's dominion pairs bowling championships. They had to come from behind in their quarter-final to beat Denise Page (Linwood). 15-14. On the replay Mrs Rennison drew a shot and Mrs Alty placed block bowls to prevent Mrs Page driving again, but the Linwood player nearly won the game with her last bowl, driving the shot bowl off the head.
