Cyclist killed
An elderly cyclist was killed when his machine and a car collided at the intersection of Raymond Road and Bromley Road about 8 a.m. yesterday. He was John Tennant, aged 72. of 7B Kawau Crescent. Bromley. Mr Tennant suffered severe head injuries. He was taken by St John ambulance to Christchurch Hospital, but
was found to be dead on arrival. The Christchurch police seek witnesses to an accident on Monday, February 1, in which another cyclist, Joseph David Wright, aged 54, was fatally injured. The accident occurred at the intersection of Tuam Street and Barbadoes Street about 8.40 p.m.
