Driver for Hands Down
Hands Down will have a change of driver in the $120,000 Auckland Cup at Alexandra Park tomorrow. Peter Jones will travel north to handle the six-year-old, which was travelling well until he broke, possibly when he jumped a shadow, with about 500 m to run in last Saturday’s sprint when he was driven by his trainer, Derek Jones. Peter Jones has been associated with Hands Down in almost all of his other races and also in most of his training.
