Rescuer rewarded
The Italian Government has honoured the official who oversaw the dramatic rescue of Brigadier-General James Dozier from Red Brigades terrorists with a promotion to the highest rank possible for an Italian policeman. The Council of Ministers elevated Gaspare de Francisci, aged 60, from prefect to prefect first class. Ten police commandos burst into an apartment in Padua on January 28 and freed General Dozier without firing a shot; Since then the Italian police have arrested more than 100 Red ■Brigades suspects in a nation-wide anti-terrorism blitz.—Rome.
