Three Ministers on South Island visit
Parliamentary reporter Three Cabinet Ministers will be in Canterbury and Marlborough in the next week. The Associate Minister of Finance and Minister of Statistics (Mr Fallooh) will open the Trustee Banks’ annual conference in Ashburton today, and visit the Christchurch office of the Statistics Department tomorrow. As Minister in Charge of the Inland Revenue Department and Postmaster-General .he will visit the Chief Post Office complex in Christchurch, and the Inland Revenue Department. The Minister of Transport (Mr Gair) will tour railways and air facilities in Marl-
borough tomorrow. He will travel by ferry to Picton where he will look at the new locomotive servicing department and visit the Marlborough Harbour Board. At 3 pm. he will visit the Spring Creek rail complex,. and later the Blenheim Railway Station. He will tour Safe Air facilities at Blenheim, taking a Safe Air flight back to Wellington in the evening. The Minister of Tourism (Mr Talbot) will attend the Trustee Banks’ conference in Ashburton today, and on Monday visit the Ferrymead Historical Museum, and Tourist Bureau offices in Christchurch. In the evening he will address a meeting of the National Travel Association.
