Veterans’ pentathlon title
Dave Tucker, of Christchurch, was the highest points-scorer in the Canterbury veterans' pentathlon championships at the Ashburton Domain on Sunday. Tucker chalked up 2715 points in the men s 50 class, more than 1000 clear of his nearest rival. Ashburton's Bruce McPhail broke the only provincial record to fall at the” meeting when he ran the men's 45 200 m in 24.65.
