Victory Sarnel withdrawn
The fine Victorian colt, Victory Sarnel, will not contest the $50,000 New Zealand Derby Stakes at Addington Raceway tomorrow week.
The trailer-float carrying the colt from Adelaide to Melbourne at the week-end, tipped over. The horse escaped without serious injury, according to his trainer, Peter Dow, in a telephone call to Christchurch yesterday, but he received a buffeting which will prevent him undertaking the trip to New Zealand.
