Mr Stewart transferred

PA Weliinton The former All Black coach, Mr J. J. Stewart, was transferred from Hutt to Wellington Public Hospital yesterday. Mr Stewart suffered head injuries in a stairway fall while participating in a New Zealand Rugby Union coaching seminar at the Central Institute of Technology, Heretaunga, on Sunday.

A spokesman for Wellington Hospital described Mr Stewart’s condition as “fair” and said the shift had been made to conduct further tests. It had not been brought about by any deterioration in Mr Stewart’s condition. Earlier reports from Hutt Hospital said that Mr Stewart had been kept in hospital for observation.
