Smooth Twinkle sold
Special correspondent Invercargill The talented Ashburtonowned and trained two-year-old, Smooth Twinkle, has changed hands. Smooth Twinkle, third to Borana and Lord Manhattan when staging his debut at Forbury Park last Saturday night, has been sold to Mr Charlie Blackwell, of Auckland, and will join John Langdon’s Cambridge stable.
Smooth Twinkle (Smooth Fella-Twinkle Lass) was trained at Ashburton by Eric Skinner for his ownerbreeder and reinsman, Robert Cameron. Last year, Mr Blackwell paid big money for Peter Foyle, buying him from Cameron and an Invercargill businessman, Mr Graham Calderwood, who had earlier ! purchased him from his ’ breeder. Mr Lex Thomas.
