Horse sales to South African.

Sir—Over the last few days we have heard a lot through the media about the South African millionaire who is on a spending spree at the Trentham yearling horse sales. Where are H.A.R.T., C.A.R.E., and all the other anti-racial-discrimination groups? What are the chances that this man made his money with cheap j black labour? Fairly high. Instead, these groups, H.A.R.T., etc., spent all their time and energy dogging a group of loyal, keen sportsmen around the country, getting world-wide recognition. H.A.R.T. and all the others should get their act together. Does money make so much difference? — Yours, etc KATHRYN WILSON. January 27, 1982. Sir,—l read that the South African millionaire has bought a colt for $300,000 at the national yearling sales. Where are the screaming voices of Minto, McKay, Baker, and their comrades who so violently demonstrated their “beliefs” during the Springbok tour? Where are the church leaders and newspaper editors who forced their personal views time and time again on to a public that did not want to listen? The silence of Minto and his cohorts proves once again that their attitude was one of anti-Government, anti-establishment, anti-police and anti-law-and-order.— Yours, etc., G. P. MAYER. January 27, 1982.
