The Onehunga, the 1459-ton general cargo vessel which recently entered the New Zealand coastal trade, made what was an unexpected arrival at Lyttelton on Tuesday, and an equally rapid departure. Onehunga. which belongs to Coastal Shipping. Ltd, apparently had had some problems with a 20-tonne winch when she left Lyttelton for Timaru on January 17. So. she left the winch with the local maritime engineering firm of Sinclair Melbourne, Ltd. for “hurry-up” repairs. Onehunga returned from Timaru on Tuesday before 8.30 a.m„ found her repaired winch ready and waiting and promptly had it installed. She was able to leave Lyttelton about 11.45 a.m. destined for Picton to pick up a cargo of grain. ARRIVALS Union Hobart (8.56 a.m.) 4376, Wellington (UMS.). DEPARTURES Nil.
